VCDS-Lite Software Registration
(no interface - pre-2005 vehicles)

• Ross-Tech cannot provide hardware support for third-party interfaces!
  It is incumbent on you to thoroughly test VCDS-Lite in shareware mode with your PC and your interface on all control modules in whatever cars you intend to use it on. If you cannot access some control modules which you know exist in your car, registering the software will not fix the problem.
• A license for VCDS-Lite license entitles you to use the software on a single PC.
  The activation file you receive will work only on the PC from which you got the serial number. But unlike older versions of our software, the license will not become invalid if you re-format your hard drive or re-install Windows. Hence, there is no need (or ability) to de-activate the software; just keep a backup of your license file in a safe place and re-install it.
• Ross-Tech will allow ONE change of PC per license.
  We understand that PCs sometimes fail in a manner where it is not economically feasible to repair them. Hence we will allow ONE change of PCs per license. Use it wisely; there will be no exceptions. For example, we do not recommend registering VCDS-Lite on a PC which you do not own.
• VCDS-Lite registrations are not transferable.
  You can sell your interface, but you cannot sell or transfer your license. If you sell the PC on which you’ve got it licensed, your buyer will be able to use the full version of the software, but your buyer will not be eligible for any kind of support from Ross-Tech.

• No VAG-COM activations.
  Due to legal agreements regarding the use of certain trademarks, we can no longer provide activations for older versions of our software which were called “VAG-COM”. The serial number you submit below MUST be from VCDS-Lite. If it is not, your order will not be processed!
• Purchaser must have a means to move data from an email to the target PC on which VCDS-Lite is installed.
  Although it is not necessary to have an internet connection on the PC where you are using VCDS-Lite, it is necessary to have some means of getting data into and out of that PC. This can be a floppy drive, a LAN connection, or a USB Memory Key.
• VCDS-Lite purchases qualify for upgrades.
  Ross-Tech will give registered VCDS-Lite users a substantial discount should they later decide to upgrade to a full VCDS system that includes one of our own licensed interfaces. For most of our upgrades, that discount will be equal to the full purchase price of of your VCDS-Lite license.
• License files for VCDS-Lite are Copyright Ross-Tech, LLC.
  It is illegal to distribute the file you receive in any way.
• Orders for software registrations are processed during normal business hours only.
  All orders are processed on a first-in, first-out basis. A License/Activation cannot be issued until after your order has been reviewed by a human being during normal business hours. Assuming the information and the serial number you provide in this order is correct and verifiable, your License/Activation should be sent to you via e-mail no later than the end of the next business day. Please Note: “end of day” can be late in the evening.
